WHEREAS Complaint hath this Day been made
unto us two of His Majesty's Justices of the
Peace for this City, and the Liberties thereof (Quorum
unus) by You the Churchwardens and Overseers of
the Poor of the Parish of St. Andrew Wardrobe
London, That Katherine< no role > the Widow of Samuel
Stonehall
< no role > deced with five Children Mary< no role > aged about
eight years Sarah< no role > abt. Six years Samuel< no role > abt three years
Francis< no role > abt two years & Henchman< no role > abt nine months are
lately come into
your said Paris not having obtained any
legal Settlement there, and are likely to become charge
able thereto by reason of the poverty of the said Parent &
[..] in fancy of the said Children unless timely prevented,
which Complaint we adjudge to be true. And forasmuch
as it appears unto us by the Oath of the said Katherine that
her said late husband dwell with & served part of his
appnticeship with Mr John Walter< no role > Carpenter in Pannier
Alley in the parish of St Michael Quern London
and by any me and whatsoever hath
not obtain' d any subsequent Settlement. We the said Ju
stices are therefore of Opinion, and do adjudge the last
legal Settlement of the said Katherine Stonehall & her
said five Children to be in the said
Parish of St Michael Quern London and
that thitherto they ought by Law to be sent.

THESE are therefore in His Majesty's Name to re
quire You to remove and convey the said Katherine
Stonehall & her said five Children
from and not of our said Parish of the St. Andrew
Wardrobe London to the said Parish of St. Michael
Queen London and them leave with the Churchwardens &
Overseers of the Poor there, or one of them, who is and
are hereby required to receive and provide for them
according to Law. Hereof fail not, and this shall be your
Warrant. Given under our Hands and Seals the tenth
Day of Decemeber Anno Domini 1724
