To the Churchwardens and Overseers of the Poor of the
Parish of St. Botolph without Bishopsgates London and also to
the Churchwardens and Overseers of the Poor of the
parish of St. Catherine Coleman London

Whereas Complaint hath been made unto us whose
hands and Seals are hereunto Sett two of his Matyes Justices of
the peace for the City of London (Quorm Unus) by the
Churchwardens and Overseers of the Poor of the Parish of
St. Botolph without Bishopsgate London That Elizabeth Balderstone< no role >
Widdow of James Balderstone< no role > & her three Children Mary< no role > aged about
Ten Years Elizabeth< no role > aged Nine Years and Anne< no role > Seven years old
the lawful Issue of ye sd James & Elizabeth Balderstone an lately come unto the
Said Parish endeavouring to Settle there contrary to Law and
unless timely prevented are likely to become chargeable
thereunto which We do adjudge to be true and forasmuch
as it appeareth unto us the said Justices upon the Oath of the
Said Elizabeth Balderstone That her Said husband being lately dead
She doth not know nor can it be made appear to us Where her sd husband
was last Legally Settled, but Saith That about Eleven Years aged She
ye sd Elizabeth Barderstone was an hired yearly Servant in the parish
of St. Catherine Coleman London with one Mr. James Rimel< no role > Sadler for
the Space of one whole Year & upwards and no other legal Settlement
elsewhere appearing unto us Since We do also adjudge the
said parish of St. Catherine Coleman to be the place of their last
legal Settlement

These are therefore in his Majesty's name to will & require
you the Churchwardens and Overseers of the poor of the said
Parish of St. Botolph without Bishopsgate forthwith to remove and convey
the said Elizabeth Balderstone with Mary Elizabeth & Anne her sd three
Children from out of your said parish unto the said parish of St. Catherine
Coleman London and them deliver unto the Churchwardens and
Overseers of the Poor there Some or one of them who are
hereby required to receive and previde for them according to
Law Given under our hands and Seals this 14th day of
June Anno Dm 1723
