Complaint being this Day made unto us, whose Hands and Seals are
hereunto set, Two of this Majesty's Justices of the Peace for this
City and Liberties thereof (quorum unus) by you the Church-wardens
and Overseers for the Poor of the Parish, of Saint Ann in
Blackfryers that one Sarah Cotty< no role > wth. 4 children Vzt.
Dennis< no role > fourteen, Mary< no role > nine Isaac< no role > four years & Sarah< no role >
Eleven months old ware
found in your Parish, not being Legally settled there, and if not
timely prevented, will become Chargeable thereunto: And for as much
as if appears unto as the said Justices, that the said Complaint is true ;
also upon the Oath of the said Sarah Cotty< no role > , that Isaac Cotty< no role >
her Late husband , was by trade a Jeweller , & then
inhabitans near Charing cross , in the parish of St.
Martine in the fields , & Shirne drove his crade & paid

and no subsequent Settlement appearing to us, WE
do therefore adjudge the said Parish of Saint Martine in the
feilds to be the legal Settlement of the said Sarah Cotty, Dennis,
Mary, Issac, & Sarah Cotty her 4 Children and thither by Law,
they ought to be sent.

THESE are therefore, in his Majesty's Name, requireing you the
Church-wardens and Overseers for the Poor of the Parish of Saint
Ann in Blackfryers abovesaid, forthwith upon Sight
hereof, to convey the said Sarah Cotty< no role > , with Dennis< no role > , Mary< no role > , Isaac< no role >
& Sarah< no role > her Childn into the Parish of Saith Martine in the
fields aforesaid, there delivering them
to the Church-wardens and Overseers thereof, or some one of them,
who aer hereby required to receive and provide for them
to the Church-wardens and Overseers thereof, or some one of them,
who are hereby required to receive and provide for them accord-
ing to Law: Hereof fail not at your Perils. Given under our Hands
and Seals, this twenty sixth March 1719

To the Church-wardens and Overseers for
the Poor of the respecttive Parishes of
St. Ann in Blackfryers And
St. Martine in the Fields, & all
others whome in doth or may
concerne
