To the Churchwardens and Overseers
of the Poor of the Parish of St. Michael in
Crooked Lane London & the Church Wardens
and Overseers of the Poor of the Parish of St
Thomas the Apostle London respectively

Whereas Complaint this Day been made unto us two
of his Majesties Justices of the peace for this City and the
liberties thereof (Quorum Unus) by you the Churchwardens
and Overseers of the poor of the parish of St. Michael in Crooked
Lane London that Phebe William< no role > Wife William Williams< no role >
with three Children named George< no role > of his Age of Eleven yeares
Elizabeth< no role > about ten years Old and David< no role > of the age of two
years come lately into your said parish not haveing obtained
(any legal Settlement there and are likely to become Chargeable
thereto unless timely prevented Saith Complaint Wee
adjudge to be true and for asmuch as it appears unto the by the
Oath of Elizabeth Knorker< no role > Widdow that the Said William
Williams
< no role > last legall Settlement was in the Parish of St
Thomas the Apostle London where about ten yeare agone
he lived with her as a Covenant Servant by the years for
the Space of three yeare in the trade of a Tayler And he
having not Obtained any Subsequent Settlement Wee the said
Justices are an Opinion and doe Adjudge the legall
Settlement of the said Phebe Williams< no role > with her said three
Children George Elizabeth and David to be in the said Parish
of St. Thomas the Apostle London and that there to they ought
by Law to be Sent

These are therefore in his Majesties name to require
gon to remove and Convey the said Phebe Williams< no role > with
her three Children George Elizabeth and David From and
oughout of your said Parish of St. Michael in Crooked Lane
London to the said parish of St Thomas the Apostle London
and them leave with the Church wardens and Overseers of the
Poor there or one of them who is and Are hereby required to
receive and provid. for them According to Law hereof faile not and
this Shall be your Warrant given under our hands and
Seals the 29th Day of December Anno Dni 1718
