Whereas It appeareth unto us whose hands & Seals
are hereunto Sett Two of his Majesties Justices of the Peace
for the City of London (Quond Unus) upon the Complaint of
the Churchwardens & Overseers of Poor of the Parish of St
Giles without Cripplegate London That Martha Floyd< no role > on
Singlewoman is lately come into the said Parish endeavour
ing to settle there contrary to Law And unless timely
prevented is likely to become chargeable thereunto which wee
do adjudge to be true And forasmuch as it appeareth unto us
the said Justices upon the Examination of the said Martha
Floyd< no role > taken upon Oath That She Served her Apprenticeship
with one Thomas Green< no role > a quilter too in the parish of St Ann
within Aldersgate London And no other legal Settlement.
elsewhere appearing unto us Since Wee do also adjudge
the said Parish of St Ann within Aldersgate to be the
place of the last legal Settlement of the said Martha Floyd< no role >

These are therefore in his Majesties Name to
will and require you the Churchwardens & Overseers of the
Poor of the said parish of St Giles without Cripplegate forthwith
to remove and convey the said Martha Floyd< no role > from out of
your said Parish unto the said parish of St Ann within
Aldersgate And her deliver unto the Churchwardens and
Overseers of the Poor there some or one of them who are
hereby required to receive and provide for her untill they
can free themselves from the charge thereof by due course of
Law Given under our hands and Seals this 19th: day of
