The humble Petition and Appeal of the Churchwardens &
Overseers of the poor of the parish of St
Stephen Coleman Street
London
Sheweth
That by Virtue of a Pass Warrant or order under the hands and Seals of
two of his Majesties Justices of the Peace for the said City (one being of
the Quorn) bearing Date the Tenth Day of January last past

a Child
about five years old was removed from the parish of
St Buttolph without Aldersgate
London unto the said parish of St
Stephen Coleman Street
alleadging the said Parish to be the Place of
his last legal Settlement
That your Petrs. doubt not but to prove that the said John
Bayly< no role >
never had any legal Settlement in the said parish
of St Stephen Coleman Street
whereby they conceive themselves
aggrieved by the said Warrant and Judgment of the said
two Justices and do humbly Appeal to your Honr & Worpps
therefrom
Your petr therefore most humbly pray your Honr
and Worpps will be pleased to hear them in the
prmisses And that the Churchwardens & Overseers
of the poor of the said parish of St Buttolph without
Aldersgate may appear before you And hear and
Abide the determination of your Honr & Worpps
touching this Appeal
