Complaint being this Day made unto us Two of His
Majesty Justices of ye peace
for this City & ye Libties thereof
(Quorm) by you ye. Churchwardens & Overseers of ye. Poor of
ye. Parish of St. Faith
under St. Paul London, That one Mary
Draper< no role >
widow is lately come into yor. sd. parish not having
obtained any legall Settlement. there, & is likely to become
Chargeable thereto unless timely prvented, And for asmuch
as it appeare unto us by the Oath of ye said Mary Draper< no role >
That about Eight yeares ago and upwards she was a
yearly hired servant at the wages of five pounds &
and with one Mr Hicks at the Dogg Gavern in Ludgate
Street
, in sd. Parish of St. Martin within Ludgate
London with whom she lived by ye Space of three years
and upwards & has not by means whatsoever obtained
any other legall Settlement since. We do therefore
adjudge the last legall of Settlement. of the sd. Mary Draper< no role >
to be in ye said Parish of St. Martin within Ludgate
London
and that thitherto She ought by Law to be sent.
These are therefore in His Majestys Name to require you
forthwith to remove and convey ye: said Mary Draper< no role >
from and
out of yor. said parish of St. Faith
London to the parish of St. Martin
within Ludgate
London
, and her deliver to ye Churchwardens and
Overseer of ye. poor there or one of them, who are hereby
required to receive & provide for her according to Law
Hereof faith not and this shall be yor. Warrant Given
under our hands & Seales this 22th Day of November 1714.
