The Examination of Nicholas Parker< no role > taken before me
this thirteenth day of May 1715

These Examt. Sayeth that on the 30th day of Aprill last having
occasion to goe on beard the Parker Frigott lying at Stone Stairs
near Ratcliff sent one Rice to the Swan taverns in Cornhill
to enquire for Mr Henry Lister< no role > This name instance is in set 2115. and to know whether the would
goe with this Examt. to Grave send the next day as was agreed on
between the said Lister & this Examt and to tell the Said
[..] ter that this Examt was gone on board the said parker
friget And Sayeth that about yors of the clock that
afternoon returning in about the said Rice Lister & Edwd:
Newton
< no role > then in aboate on the Thames mett this Examand
kept w [..] pany with thisDeponentsExamts. boat till they & this
Examt all putt on shear near Billingsgate from whence they
& this Examt went to the Dogg tavern at Billingsgate
and for severall hours they all sate in the bitchen of the sd.
taverne And Saith that he did not know or heard that the
said Newton had any mony or any bagg till sometime
after this Examt was brought before the Ld Mayor & by him
discharged when the said Rice & this Examt were charged wth
paking the said Newtons pockett, the said Rice did own
that when he & the said Newton were at the Swan taverne
the said Rice Saw the said Newton change a pistoll which
he took out of bagg But this Exmt Sayeth that henever
Saw any of the said Newtons mony or his bagg Nor did this
Examt know how the said Rice came by the said Newtons
pocket book but did See a pocket book in his hand And Saith
that he never said any thing of the said Newton being
the son of a Mathe matinan this Examt. knowing him to be
otherwise And that when the said Newton charged this
Examt as aforesd he un buttond his coat & was troat & offerd
himselfe to be searched.
