The humble Petition and Appeale of the Churchwardens
and Overseers of the poor of the parish of St Alban
in
Woodstreet
London
Sheweth
That by Virtue of a Warrant under the hands and Seals of two of her
Maties Justices of the peace
within this City one being of the Quorn
bearing Date the 23d Day of March last past one
Thomas Burtless< no role >
was removed from the parish of St. Buttolph without Aldgate
London
unto the said parish of St. Alban in Wood Street
London alleadging the
said parish to be the place of his last legall Settlement
That you petitioners doubt not but to prove that the
said Thomas Burtless< no role >
never had any legall settlement
in the said Harish of St Alban Wood Street
whereby they
conceive themselves aggreived by the said Warrant and
Judgment of the said two Justices and do humbly appeal
to your Worpps therefrom
Your Petitioners therefore most humbly pray your
Honr and Worpps will be pleased to hear them in
the prmisses and that the Churchwardens and
Overseers of the poor of the said parish of St
Buttolph without Algate
may appear before
you and hear and abide the determination of ye
Honr and worpps touching this Appeale
And your Petr Shall ever Pray Etc.
