The humble petition and Appeal of the Churchwardens
and Overseers of the poor of the parish of St Martin
Ludgate

Sheweth
That by virtue of a Warrant under the hands & seals of avo of her maties
Justices of the peace
within this City (one being of the Quorn) bearing date the
Sixteenth Day of June last one

with her daughter ann were removed from the parish of
St Austin London unto the said parish of St Martin
Ludgate alloadging
the said parish to be the place of the last legal Settlement of the
said
William Bainbridge< no role >
the husband
That your Peticonrs doubt not but to prove that the said

never had any legal Settlement in yor
Peticonrs said Parish of St Martin
Ludgate whereby they
conceive themselves aggreived by the said Warrant and
Judgment of the said two Justices and do humbly Appeal
to your Honr & Worpps therefrom
Your Peticoners therefore most humbly pray your
Honr and Worpps will be pleased to hear them in the
prmisses and that the Churchwardens and Overseers
of the poor of the said Parish of St Austins
may
appeare before you and hear and abide the dece [..]
