followeth.
The sd John Herring< no role >
doth confesse That one Joseph
Hackett< no role >
and this Examinant were Porters
about
the Steel Yard Wharehouses
And the said Hackett
and this Examinant did at severall times between
the houre of twelve and one a Clock at Noone
about a year since take and carry away out
of a Wharehouse belonging to Mr Ephraim
Montague< no role >
Severall parcells of Raw Silke
belonging to him Mr Mountague which sd
Silke the sd Hackett and this Examinant Sold
to one Browne who kept the George Alehouse
a little beyond Ratcliffe Crosse
and one Jacobs a
Jew in Pettycoat Lane
near Spittlefeilds
(to witt)
Seventeen or eighteen busidles to Browne
and Nine bundles to Jacobs for Seven Shillings
a Pound and noe more That when the said
Hackett and this Examinant went to the sd
Brownes house with any parcell of the said
Silk the sd Browne usually received the
same from them privately in a Roome in
his the sd Brown's house where be suffer'd
noe body to come to them at that time
And the said Browne at such times as the sd
Hackett & this Examinant delivered him ye
