Majestys Justices of the Peace in the general Quarter Sessions Assembled

The humble petition of the Churchwardens and Overseers of the
poor of the parishes of Giles without Cripplegate St. Buttolph without
Aldgate St. Andrew Wardrobe St Katherine Coleman St Andrew Holborn St.
Sepulchre St. Brides Allhalows on the Wall St. Buttolph Aldersgate and St
Buttolph without Bishopsgate

Sheweth


That your Petitoners are very much over bu [..] oned with poor and not able to raise sufficient
Sumes of mony amongst themselves to releise them notwithstanding their Assessments are
greater than heretofore Yet the charge of the poor is far above their Assessments as the same
upon their Examination hath divers times appeared to several worthy Aldemen of this
City appointed to hear the same And their poor Dayly [..] wasing upon them their said
parishes some of them lying near the suburbs and others of them in the suburbs of this
City

Their humble petition herefore unto your good Honr and Worpps is that you will
be favourably pleased [..] grant unto them in the Contributions of other parishes
within this City for and towards the reliveing the poor as they have fomerly
had which are particularly her under menconed or such further Allowance as to
your Honr and Worpp Shall sein meet
