for the same City (Quor unus) and both residing in or next unto the Limitts where
the Parish Church of St James at Dukes place
within the said City standeth made at
the Request and Complaint of the Churchwardens and Overseers of the Poor of the
said Parish the Eighth day of July in the Eleventh year of the Reigne of our
Sovereigne Lady Anne now Queen of Grean Britaine Etc Annoq Dm 1712
according to the forme of the Statute in that Case made and provided concerning a
Male Bastard Child born in the said Parish on or about the Thirtieth day of
May last of the body of

which said Bastard Child hath ever
since been & now is Chargeable to the said Parish and is likely see to continue
Upon the Examination of the Cause & Circumstanses of the Prmisses taken upon Oath before us the
said Justices and due Consideration thereof being by us had We doe Adjudge one Edward Jones< no role >
of the
said Parish of St James at Dukes place
to be the putative Father of the said Bastard Child, And
we doe order that as well for the Relief of the said Parish of St James at Dukes Place
as also for
the Pviding for and maintaining of the said Bastard Child the said Edward Jones< no role >
doe and shall
forthwith or notice of this order Pay or Cause to be paid unto the said Church Wardens & Overseers
of the Poor of the said Parish of St James at Dukes place
or to some or one of them the Sume of
Three Pounds & ten Shillings of Lawfull money of Great Britaine for and towards the necessary charges
Expences they have been at in and about the lying in of the sd Elianor Berry< no role >
with the said Bastard
Child and maintaining the sd Bastard Child since its Birth and other insident Charges relating
thereto and also that he the said Edward Jones< no role >
doe & shall weekly or Monday in every week
from henceforth soe long as the said Bastard Child shall be chargeable to the said Parish of
St James at Dukes place
pay or cause to be paid unto the Church Wardens and Overseers
the poor of the said Parish of St James at Dukes place
for the time being or to some or one
of them the sume of two Shillings and Six pence of like Lawfull money for and towards
the maintenance of the said Bastard Child In Witness whereof we the said Justices have
hereunto sett our hands the day and year first abovewritten
