The Informacon of Thomas Carpentar< no role > of the Parish of St: Sepulcher
London Cordwainer taken upon Oath before me Joseph Short< no role > Esqr : One
of her Maties: Justices of ye Peace for ye County of Middx this Twenty
Second day of April Anno Domini 1707

This Informant Saith That between the hours of Eight & Eleven of ye Clock
in ye Night of Sunday wch was ye Twentieth day of April in Stant his [..] house
situate in Chick Lane in ye parish of St. Sepulcher London was broak open
& there were then Stollen out of his Shop in ye sd house Fourteen pair of Mens
& Womens Shoos, & that upon the Twenty first day of April instant [..] One
John Whittingham< no role > being apprhended upon Suspicon of having Stollen ye sd
Shoos, there were found two pair of Mens Shoos in ye Breeches of him ye sd
John Whittingham< no role > , wth sd two pair of Shoos, this Informt: Saith were the
Goods of him this Informant, & Stollen out of his Shop as aforesd; & this Informt:
further Saith, That when ye sd two pair of Shoos were taken upon ye sd John
Whittingham
< no role > as aforesd, there was also found in [..] his pocket an Iron Key of a
pin of a window, wch sd Key as this Informt: verily beleives dos belong to the
p [..] of the window of ye sd Shope & that there were left on ye Outside of the sd
Shop Attammer, & a Carpenters Adds, wch sd Hammer & Adds this Informt:
Saith ye sd John Whttingham< no role > did Confesse Lee left there
