a prisoner for Debt in Newgate taken upon
Oath before us her Maties: Justices of the peace
for the County of Midd:

This Exaiant saith That Richard Edwards< no role > Thomas
Marsh
< no role > Richard, Hethereall< no role > & Thomas Gardner< no role >
comould calles) partners of the sd Goal as soon as any
priers are brought into the said Goal doe search
their porbetts for money & if they find any they
take two shillings from every one of them

That within a month since one Jones a Surgeon
was brought into ye. Goal & ye. sd partners exucled two
shillings from him, & then senall of ye. Felons came upon
him & demanded seven shillings & six pence of him
for gavin [..] money of wch. he then paid them as hee
inform'd thes Exaiate abt: four or five shillings, that
some four days after oneBsanmont & other
Felons or Wisting him demanded the rest of the sd. Seven
shillings & six pence, & put his hand into Joneis pocketts
& tooke fromthence two or three Rafors & four Lancets
(one of wth. Lancetts ye. sd. Jones viclued at twenty
shillings) wth. said Lancet ye. sd Beanmout threw agt.
ye Greand & broke it upon the sd. Jones. comptained, to
William Robinson< no role > one of the Turnekeys of the said
