Whereas complaint hath been made unto us whose hands and seals
are hereunto sett two of her Majets Justices of the Peace of the Citty of
London (Quorum unus) by the Churchwardens and Overseers of the
Poor of the Parish of St. Giles without Criplegate London, that Martha
Quickleborough
< no role > wife of Joseph Quickleborough< no role > now in her Majesties service
att sea wth. two young Children (to say) Martha< no role > aged two years Six
Months or thereabouts, and Mary< no role > aged three months or thereabouts
is come into the said Parrish endeavouring to gaine a Settlement
there without giving Notice in Writeing of the Place of her abode to ye
Churchwardens and Overseers of the Poore of the same Parish as by
Law is required and is likely to become chargeable to ye said Parish and
for as much as Oath is made before us by Martha Quickly borough aforesd
that the last legall Settlemt. of her Husband Joseph Quickleborough
aforesaid was in the Parish of St. Austine , where he lived One yeare
a hired Servt . by the yeare wth Thomas Gemall< no role > in the old Change Dyamond
cutter These are therefore in her Majesties name to will & require
you the Officer of the Parrish of St. Giles wihtout Criplegate London
some or one of you to take pase and convey the said Martha
Quickleborough
< no role > and her two Children aforesaid to the Parrish of
St. Austine and there to deliver them to the Church wardens and
Overseers of the poor of the same Parrish or one of them who are
hereby likewise in her Majesties name required to receive and
provided for them according to Law, and hereof you nororany of you are to
faile given under our hands & seales this Sixth day of August
