The humble Petiton and Appeale of the Churchwardens and
Overseers of the Poore of the Parish of St. Austins
London

Sheweth

That by virtue of a Warrant under the hands and seales of Twoe of Her Maties
Justices of the Peace (Quox unus) dated the 3d. day of May Anno Din 1706 One Mary
Hounsell< no role > Widdow was Sent by the Churchwardens & Overseers of the Poore of the
Parish of Alhallowes onthe Wall London to Yor. Petr. to be provided for upon the
Oath of the Said Margarett That Shee Lived in Yor Petr. Parish Severall days
before and after May 1685. and hath not had any legall Settlement since

Whereas in Truth the said Margt. Hounsell< no role > was never 40 days in yor. Petr.
Parish before May 1685. But hath Since Lived Severall Yeares in the Parish
of Alhallowes on the Wall where Shee was Rated to Church & Poore

Yor. Petr. humbly Pray Yor. Honor. & Worppl. to hear them
In the Prmisses And Order the Churchwardens & Overseers
of the Poore of the Parish of Alhallowes on the Wall London
To appear here before You To shew Cause why they should
not Provide for the Said Margaret Hounsell< no role > And alsoe
to send the said Margaret Hounsell< no role > to the said Parish
of Alhallowes on the Wall To be by them kept and provided
for till They can Free themselves of the Charge thereof
by due Course of Law.
