Whereas Complaint hath beene made unto us Two of
his Maties Justices of the peace for the said Citty (Quor
unus) by the Church-Wardens and Overseers of the poore
of the parish of St. Brides als Bridegets London, That
one Elizabeth Humphreys< no role > daughter of Joseph Humphreys< no role >
by Eleanor< no role > his wife , is some into the said parish
endeavouring to settle there without giveing Notice in
Writing to the said Church Wardens & Overseers of the
poore or any of them as by Law is required; and is
become chargeable to the said parish, And whereas it
appears undo us upon the Oath of the said Elizabeth
that her last legall Settlement. was in the Hamblet of
Wapping Stepney in the Parish of St. Dunstan Stepney
in the County of Middx where she was borne, and
continually lived for abt fourteene was together, untill abt. Two
yrs. last past, and that time the hath had noe other
legall Settlement Whatsoever:

These are therefore in his Maties. name strictly to
charge and command you the Church-Wardens & Overseers
of the poore of the St Parish of St. Brides als Bridgets London
Some or one of you upon Sight hereof, To remove and convey
the body of the said Elizabeth Humphreys< no role > out of yor. said
Parish, undo the said Hamlet of Wapping Stepney in the
Parish of St. Dunstan Stepney in the County of Middx in
and her deliver undo the Church Wardens and Overseers
of this poore there; or to some of them, who are hereby
required her to receive and provide for (as occasion shall
require) untile they shall be of her discharged by due
order of Lawe: Given under our hands and Seales this
7th. day of May A: Dud 1700 Anoq Rich Dud Dui with
Serty name Re Angl Etc Duedecimo

To the Church-Wardens and Overseers of the poore
of the parish of St Brides at Bridgets London
and to all others whome this may concern.
