Justices of the Peace att the Generall Quarter Sessions Assembled

The Peticon and Appeale of the Churchwardens and Overseers
of the Poore of the Parish of St. Mary Magdalens Old Fish Streete London

Sheweth

That by virtue a Warrant under the Hands and Seales of Twoe of his Maties Justices
of the Peace within this Citty One being of the Quor dated the 26th. March 1700 One
William Fry< no role > was brought by the Churchwardens of St. Buttolph Bishoppsgate To Yor. Petrs.
to be mainteyned upon his Oath That his last legall Settlement was in Yor. Petrs. Parish
where hee served as an Appntice wth. one William Andrewes< no role > Vintner untill 1656. hee having
been a Soldier and in his Maties. service ever Since untill 1690 since wth. to me hee hath been an
Inmate in St. Buttolph And that hee had noe other legall Settlement in yor. Petrs. parish wth. Appeared
to be 46 Yeares since hee was a Servant in yor. Petrs. parish And is unknowne to yor. Petrs.
And by Acknowledgement hath been in the Parish of St. Buttolphs what hee hath paid to the Constable
Scavenger and for Trophyes and hath been releived by them as a poore Inhabitant due hath had
divers Certificates under the Hands of the minister Churchwardens & Antient Inhabitants of St.
Buttolphs Owning him to be an Inhabitant of their said Parish As by the Same may
Appeare

Yor. Petrs. humbly Pray to be heard on their Appeale And to
said the said William Fry< no role > unknowne to yor. Petrs. to the said Parish
of St. Buttolphs Bishopsgate where he hath lived many yeares one
been releived And had Certificates from them as aforesaid.
