Whereas wee are inform'd. that severall
Persons in this City, especially Apprentices,
do frequently resort to the Play Houses,
whereby they are corrupted and entie'd to
wickedness, not only by hearing and Seeing
diverse Lewd representations, but especially
by meeting and conversing with many
Lewd person that boldly attend those
places, and whereas they are invited to
this Practise by the posting up printed papers
in the most publick places of this City, to give
notice of the place and time of acting, (will
haveing observed that this has been done
no less then three severall times this week
wee do think our Selves obliged to represent
this to the Honourable Court; as a matter
very worthy of their consideration and care
in order to prevent the corruption and
ruin of our Youth
