Whereas complaint hath beene made unto us whose handes
and Seales are hereunto sett two of his Majesties Justices
of the Peace for the said Citty of London (One being of the Quorum)
by the Churchwardens and overseers of the Poore of the
Parish of St. Giles Criplegate London that Sarah Simpson< no role >
Wife of Thomas Simpson< no role > with her Sonne Thomas Simpson< no role >
aged twenty two months Or thereaboute are lately come into
theire said Parish endeavoureing to gaine at Setlement there
and are likely to become chargeable unto them unles timely
presented And for as much as Oath is made before us by
Thomas Mercer< no role > aged thirty yeares or thereabout & now
dwelling in Coleman Ally in the Parish of St. Giles Criplegate
in the County of Midlesex that the said Thomas Simpsons< no role > last
legall Setlement in England was as a hired Servant with
Mr Eveline as his Coachman then dwelling with his Mother
Dame Eveline in Piccadilly in the Parish of St. Martin in
the Feilds in the County of Midlesex and that the said Mr
Eveline with the said Thomas Simpson< no role > his Servant went from
thence to Dublin in the Kingdome of Ireland about two
yeares foure months since where he hath ever since remained
as he Beleives their are therefore in his Majesties name to
required and Comand you the Officer of the Parish of St. Giles
Criplegate London Some or One of you to take passe & carie
away the said Sarah Simpson< no role > and her Child out of the said
Parish of St. Giles Criplegate London to the Parish of St. Martin
in the Feilds aforesaid and there deliver them to the Church-
wardens and Overseers of the same Parish or to some or One
of them who are hereby likewise in his Majesties name required
to receive the said Sarah Simpson< no role > & her Child and provide
for them according to lawe and hereof you nor any of you are to
faile given under our hands & Seales this tenth day of January
