The humble Peticon of the Churchwardens & Overseers
of the Poore
of the Parish of St. Andrews Wardrobe

Sheweth
That yor. Petrs. Parish is scituate never broken wharfe And are not able
to raise sufficient sumes of money amongst themselves to releive their Poore
Notwithstanding their Assessements are very greate gett the charge of
their Poore is above their said Assessemt. As the same upon full
examination hath sundry times Appeared to divers Aldren of this
City appointed to heare the same and their Poore increaseing upon
them.
Their humble Suites unto yor. good Honors. and
Worpps. is that you will be favourably pleased to grant
unto them the contribution of £40. from other Parishes
wthin. this City for and towardes the releiveing their
Poore As they have formerly had for divers yeares by
reason of their greate charge & number of Poore or
such other allowance As to yor. Honrs & Worpps. shall
seeme meete.
