The humble Peticon of the Churchwardens & Overseers
of the Poore of the Parish of St. Brides London

Sheweth

That yor. Petitionrs. are very much Overburthened with Poore being
scituate in the Suburbs of this City And not able to raise sufficient sumes
of money amongst themselves to releive them Notwithstanding their
Assessements are greater then ever heretofore Yett the charge of their
Poore is for above their said Assessements As the same upon full
examinacon hath many times Appeared to divers Aldren of this City
Appointed to heare ye same And their Poore dailey increaseing upon them.

Their humble Suites therefore unto yor. good Honors. and
Worpps. is That you will be favourably pleased to grant unto
them the Contribution of £50. from severall Parishes within
this City for & towardes the releiveing their Poore As was last
yeare given them Or such farther allowance As to yor. Honors.
and Worpps. shall seeme meete.
