The Informacon of Nicholas Wade< no role >
Constable taken before the Rt. Honoble. Sr.
Jno. Fleet< no role > Knt . Lord Major. of the City of
London , & one of Their Majtys: Justices
of the Peace for the said City the 7th.
day of March 1692 .

This Informant saith that he being upon his Watch
on Satorday night last, one Bonner a watchman
came & told him that there was Company revelling
att the Shepheard Tavern in Cheapside being near
two A Clock on Sunday morning, thereupon this
Informant tooke four Watch men of from their
Hands with him & went to the said Taverne
desired the Watchmen to go softly to the doore & [..]
yt. this Informant might hear whether there
was any such thing as revelling there, then
this Informt. going in asked the drawers what
Company there was in the house, & going to the
boxes found three Psons together, And this Informt
askt there what they were doing att that time
A night, one of them answered what was that
to him they were not to give him an acct: Thereupon
one of the Watchmen sayd why do you speake
so to the Constable, one of them answered they
cared not A fact for him, whereupon this
informant did ordr. his Watchmen to take that
man to the Compter , with yt. one of the 3. Psons
starts away & stood upon the staires, laying his
hand upon his sword, which was afterwards
drawn & said dam him this Informant should
not go up for that there was a Pson of Quality
above, this Informant said to his watchmen fellow
mee up accordingly they did, being gon up one pair
of staires this Informant heard Musick with
that he went to the doore & bid his Watchmen
follow him, the first year man Informant saye was
A man playing upon A welch harp, this Informant
did further see one Mr. Cooke wth. A Flask of Wine
in one hand & A Glass in the other, he said to this
Informant, Yor. servt. Mr. Constable, will you please to
drinke
