The Information of Mary the Wife of John Eastfield< no role > of Fore Street in the
Parish of St. Ann Middlesex Hubert Shop Seller and Silvester Atkinson< no role >
of Ropemakers fields in the Parish aforesaid Butcher Taken this 15th. day of
April 1789 before me One of his Majestys Justices of the peace in and for
he said County.

Who being on their Oaths say and first the said Mary Eastfield< no role > for her
self Saith That about five O'Clock on Saturday, afternoon last the prisoner now
present who says his name is William Junes< no role > came into her husbands Shop and
asked for a Pea Jacket That she went to look forona New One when he told
Informant he wanted a Second Hand on Informant then told the prisoner she
did not deal in Second Hand Cloaths prisoner then sayed he would call again
That She then Observed the prisoner had something, under his Arm which she
suspected he had Stolen in her Shop and as soon as he got out of the Shop
she called out Stop Thief, when he was pursued and taken by Informant
Atkinson who brought him back to her this Informant together with the
four pair of Stockings now produced which she declares to be her husbands
property and is of the Value of Six ShillingsAnd this Informant
Silvester Atkinson< no role > for himself says that upon hearing Informant Mary
Eastfield
< no role > cry out Stop thief and seeing the prisoner run he pursued him
and saw him throw the four pair of Stockings away now produced that he
secured the Stockings [..] followed the prisoner and took him and brought
him back to Mrs. Eastfield Shop.
