First this Informant William Gibbs< no role >
upon
his Oath saith he is a Servant
to William Stevens< no role >
a Silk Merger
of Leaden hall

and carries on business for him at No. 352 in Oxford Street
in the Parish of St. James
Westminster
by Sleeps in the said Shop that
on Tuesday the Twentieth of January last about the hour of Eight o Clock
at Night he locked up the house safe and went from thence to London hall
Street
and returned a few Minutes after Eleven o Clock and upon putting
the Key into the Street door he found it open but pulled close he then
went into the shop and there found a small door under the Compter
forcibly broke open and a Sutton taken Down, and a small flap turned
up and was stolen therefrom Large Quantities of Silks, Sattins, Cotton,
Sattinets, Princes Stuff Kensey mere and other Goods to the amount
of Forty five Pounds which said Goods were the property of William
Stevence< no role >
And further this Informant saith that the Piece of Black
[..] ices Stuff now produced he is possitive and certain is the Property
of his said Master and was taken and carried away in the said Shop
as aforesaid And Also that the Piece of Black sattin now produced
he verily believes to be his Masters property likewise and stolen as
aforesaid which two Articles he is informed and believes were found
in the Possesion and Lodging of one Joseph Pocock< no role >
And this
Informant further saith that he is Possitive and certain that the
piece of striped Sattin Shape for a Waistcoat now produced is the
property of his said Master and was taken and carried away as aforesaid
And Also that the [..] Green piece of Ribdeluer, and the piece of Black
Sattin now produced he verily believes to be his Masters property
likewise and Stolen as aforesaid which two Articles he is informed and
believes were found in the possession and Lodging of John Harding< no role >
And
this Informant further saith that he verily believes the Piece of Swan down
now produced by Stephen Reynolds< no role >
is the Property of his said Master
and stolen as aforesaid And further this Informant saith that
he perfectly [..] recollects the prisoner

coming to
the shop on the Saturday before the Robbery was committed and wanted
to purchase a half morrning Sattin Shape, this Informant shew'd him
two different Patterns which he said would not do, then went away and
said he wo'd come again another day
