And the said John Williams< no role > for himself saith that he was
lying in the Tail of the Cart asleepThat being
awakened by the Noise he jumped out of the Cart
and Seized hold of a person now present who calls
himself [..] Corneluis Carty< no role > That said [..] Carty immediately
stabbed him with a knife in the GrainThat the
contended with said CartyColeand threew him into
a Ditchandadjourned to the Road and fell upon
him in itThat during the time of his being in
that position said Carty [..] cut this Informant
on the Shoulder with a Knife (as he believes) That
this Informant kept hold of said Carty till some
persons came up and Secured himThe said Joseph

riding a long & the Road at this time and hearing
the Cry of Distress he rode up to the Place &
assisted in securing said CartyAnd the said
Edmund Franklin< no role > for himself saith that he was in
Company with the said Joseph Finch< no role > at this time
and assisted in Securing the said CartyAnd the
said Thomas Cousins< no role > for himself saith that [..] in the
SundayMorning of Yesterday was sevenight he went
to the place where said Robbery was committed Chasing
given Assistance in Securing the said Carty the preceeding
