that he Secured the said Rope and Greensmith took him to the House of Informant
Richards and Confirmsthehis Testimony in every Particular Except as to his
being in the house of Prisoner Watts, And this Informant Thomas Badcock< no role >
for himself Saith that Informants Richards and Cole came to his house about
Eight O Clock last night Informed him they had a Prisoner and desired him
to take Charge of him, that he went to the door. Saw the prisoner Greensmith
with the Rope on his Shoulder and asked him where he was going with it
who told him to a house near the Silver Lion. when Informant told him
where he was going with it there Carry it, That the prisoner accordingly
went with said Rope Informants following him, Saith that he Greensmith [..]
Carried said Rope to the House of prisoner Watts and when he went in
the door was Skut Immediately when Informant putting his head
against the door and Listening heard a Man say to the Prisoner Greensmith he would
gave him four pence or a Great. Informant cannot tell which and at
the same time told him he could not Weigh it. Immediately after which
the door opened and this Informant together with Informant Richards Went
in when Informant Secured he prisoner Watts, and Richards Secured the
Rope.

William Greensmith< no role > in her Defence Says that he will be thirteen Years of Age
Next Christmas, his Father in Law Richard Wenter< no role > who lives at Poplar and is
a Laborer in Blackwell Yard turned him out of doors a good But ago. Says
afterwards three Weeks [..] ago, had laid in Mr Youngs Hemp Loft< no role > . since and turned
the Wheel for an Apprentice of Captn. Youngs who gave him Victuals, Says that
he went one Sunday Evening to the Prisoner Watts's house and asked him if he
would Buy any Old Rope who sayed he would Buy as much as he would bring
Saith that no body told him to go and get the Rope but that he went
himself last night took off the Tiles got into the Warehouse Book the Rope wh [..] he Sold to the prisoner [..]
opened the Window three the Rope out of the Window and got out that way
Says that his Reason for going to Walls's Shop was he knew Jack Baxter< no role >
to have Sold Rope there about a fortnight ago, which he took from the
Water Side on the Mill Wall .
