The Informations of Edward Priest< no role > and John
Wood
< no role > hatch taken upon Oath this 28th. Day of October
1789.

Who upon their several Oaths say and first the said Edward
Priest
< no role > for himself saith that on Sunday the 25th. Day of October
Instant about Twelve o Clock at Noon he was in his own Room
with his Wife having some Words the Prisoner Margaret Cane
rushed into the Room by breaking the Hinges of the Door ran
upto him thrust her Hand into his Pockett and took out half
a Guinea in Gold four Shillings in Silver & one halfpenny in
Copper and afterwards went away Immediately

John Wood< no role > hatch for himself saith Edward Priest< no role > is
a Lodger in his House that on Sunday the 25th. of October
Instant the sd. Edward Priest< no role > & his Wife were quarrelling
he went up Stairs to inquire what was a miss he saw the
Prisoner Margaret Cane< no role > have her Hand in Edward Priests
Pockett that when she drew her Hand out of his Pockett the
sd. Edward Priest< no role > struck her on the back part of her sd. Hand
wch. caused her to drop three Shillings & one half penny
there out
