want with me "Informant told him she wanted to know If he
had taken down any of the Iron Bar'sThat said Jones replied
"No We have no business to take any of them down" That Informant
told him if he had not, somebody else had that Informant then
askedhimsaid Jones what he did in that Room, to which question
he made no reply. That Informant then asked him if he came
to do any thing in that Room, when he replied "No that he came
to do the Lock of Mr Pitts door". That said Jones made no
excuse to this Informant about losing his waythat after said
Jones was gone out of Mr Steele's Room She went to examine
the Windows, when she discovered that the Staple of one of the
Windows from which he Came, when She first discovered him
had been Wrenched out a considerable way. And which she is
very sure was not done the night before when she Shut the
Windows. That since this Informant hath been in the
Treasury Office which is about a fort'night, She hath missed
three Iron Bar'snamely two from the Lords Room, and One
from Mr Steele's Room. That the bar taken from Mr Steeles
Room was taken yesterday morning, at which time said Jones
Came in about eight oClock, That on friday night was
Se' night she missed one from the Lords Room, on which
morning said Jones was also there. And further says
She verily believes said Jones Stole the said three Iron
Bar's.
