William Herne< no role > of Pater noster Row in the City of London Gentleman
maketh Oath that he this Deponent did on Saturday the Twelfth Day
of July last past Attend at Guildhall London with Ambrose Martin< no role >
of Finch Lane London Wanker in Order to Prosecute the abovenamed
Richard Clark< no role > for Felony and Forgery before Mr. Alderman Le Messnier
and the said Richard Clark< no role > was Committed to the Wood Street Compter for
further Examination on thursday the Seventeenth Day of July then
next following And this Deponent further saith the said Ambrose
Martin
< no role > was bound over to Appear again as this Deponent understood
on the said Thursday the seventeenth Day of July on the further
Examination of the said Richard Clark< no role > And this Deponent further
saith the said Ambrose Martin< no role > and this Deponent accordingly
Attended on the said Seventeenth Day of July and the said Ambrose
Martin
< no role > was again Examined before the said Alderman when the said
Alderman was of Opinion there was not sufficient Ground to Charge
the said Richard Clark< no role > with Felony and Forgery and the said
Richard Clark< no role > was by the said Alderman discharged And this
Deponent further saith that he fully understood and believed that the
Recognizance of the said Ambrose Martin< no role > was then discharged
if he had not he would certainly have taken Care the said Ambrose
Martin
< no role > should have Prosecuted or that the said Recognizance should
have been discharged and that it was as this Deponent Apprehends a
Mistake of the Clerk to the sitting Alderman in Drawing up the
said Recognizance to prosecute the said Richard Clark< no role > on the said
Twelfth Day of July last which should have been for the said Ambrose
Martin
< no role > to Appear as the seventeenth of July on the Further Examination
of the said Richard Clark< no role >
