Who upon their several Oaths say & first the sd. John Dutton< no role >
saith that on Sunday the 31st. of August in the Night he was
awakend out of his Sleep by the Cry of Thieves & that his House
was broke open upon wch. he immediately called to another
Person who lodged in the House & upon the same Floor that he
came down & found the Locks and Bolts on the Inside were all
fast he then opened his Yard Door & went in where he saw sevl.
People particularly George Hyde< no role >
whose Shirt was all bloody
which he said he had got by preserving the sd. Duttons Property
& advised the said Dutton to took at the top of the Wash House
to see if any Entrance was made there & upon looking he
found sevl. Files broke and a Piece of Lead cut away from
the Gutter which was lying there he then took up the Lead
& gave it to his Servant to carry into the Househe then
asked Hyde if he knew& afterwds. went towds. the Watch house
to get Assistance but in his way near the Top of Newtoners
Lane

informed him was two
of the Persons he seized Thomas Hunt< no role >
& delivered him to
the Care of George Robinson< no role >
& went in Pursuit of Roger Molloy< no role >
but he run so fast he wd. not overtake him he then returned
back who informed him that sd. Hunt had overgot him
upon wch. sd. John Dutton< no role >
went to the Watch House when
