The Information of John Coles< no role > taken upon
Cath before me William Black< no role > borow Esqr . One of His
Majesty's Justices of the Peace in and for the said County
this 8th. day of July 1788.

Who on his Oath saith that on Tuesday the first day of July Inst.
he met Samuel Pullen< no role > at the Red lyon Public House in White Horse Alley
Cow Cross Street at about Seven o Clock in the Eveng. and then made
and Agreement to let him into the House of his this Informants
Master Mr. Nathaniel Bryant< no role > of Saint Pauls Church Yard Trunk maker
on the Thursday night following at the hour of Twelve OClock in order
to rob the same of the Plate. That at the time Agreed upon as above
and this Informant let them into the House and they then went into the
cellar and there waited for a Considerable time as this Informants
Master was not at Home and did not come home near Two
o Clock in the morning This Informant did not see [..] the said
two persons [..] after he let them into the House until he
went up Stairs to his Master for the Key of the Door which was
at about five O Clock in the Morning This Informant then saw
them put part of the Plate in their Pockets and the rest they
tyed up in a Napkin which they took out of the Parlour [..]

This Informant also saw a Chissell which they brought will
then in Order to break the window Shutter that it might Appear
the House was broke into from the Street. When they went away
they told this Informant that they would go and sell the plate And
when this Informant saw them again which was on the same day
in the Eveng. the Red lyon Publick House aforesaid they then told
him that they had sold it for Twenty One Guinea and gave
to this Informant Three Shillings saying they had no more money
only two Ten Pound Bank Notes he then left them and went
home, soon after which his said Master called him [..]
