day of May 1788 before us Two of His Majestys Justices of the peace
in and for the said County
Who saith a Piece of Carpeting of the same Pattern and length has been stolen out of his said
Uncles Shop situate as aforesaid between the Hours of Twelve and one this day and that he has not
the least Doubt the piece of Carpeting produced is his said Uncles property and Stolen as aforesaid

with the piece of Carpeting produced That he asked him how he
came by the same Says The prisoner told him a man had given him the said piece of carpeting
to carry to a Sale which was at the seven Stars in Whitechapel
That knowing the said Daniel
Standard was a Disorderly person he with his Brother

him the piece of Carpetting produced (as he was walking along the foot Pavement on Whitechapel road
side near to Bakers Row) and ordered him to carry the said piece of Carpeting to the Seven Stars
in Whitechapel
and bid him go Bakersrow way and that he would give him something when he
there
