this 4th of April 1788
Who upon their Oaths says & first the said John Helditch< no role >
for himself says that on Sunday morning last about two oClock
he went to the apartments of one Ann Cately< no role >
in Goldsmiths Alley that
she asked him for some money that he gave her half a Guinea and then
lay with her in the Bed and soon afterwards he felt her picking his pocket
that he caught hold of her hand and took part of the money which was
in it from her that another woman who is not taken then came in and that they both
seized hold of him and forcibly took from his person two Guineas and
about two or three Shillings that whilst they were Robbing him a
a Man who is in Custody and whose name is George Hyde< no role >
was at the
door and saw the transaction that the woman Ran off that after they

were taken and put in the Watch House

for himself says that about 4 o Clock on Sunday
Morning last he met the aforesaid

Lane that he said he was Robbed that they went together to Goldsmiths
Alley and searched the Apartments were the Robbery was Committed that in
an adjoining Room he saw the aforesaid George Hyde< no role >
in Bed that he took him
& put him in the Watch house that after this the went in search of the
theWoman and found one of them Viz. Ann Cately< no role >
in a Lower apartments
of the same house were the Robbery was Committed & took her & put
he in the Watch house
