me this 6th. day of March 1788
Who being upon Oath severally say and first the said
John Whitlock< no role >
for himself says that on Thursday
last the 28h. of February in the Night as he believes
eleven Yew Trees Standing and growing in his Nursery
were broke cut and the limbs thereof carried away
and further says that he verily believes that the
eleven Sticks of Yew now produced by James Holder< no role >
are the same which were cut and stolen from
him as aforesaid And the said Thomas Bagley< no role >
for himself says that between three and four o'Clock
in the Afternoon of Thursday last the aforesaid Yew
Trees belonging to Mr. Whitlock were safe and not
cut That about half an Hour past Six o'Clock the
next Morning he found the said Yew Trees< no role >
were
cut and the Limbs thereof carried away
