Who being on Oath severally say and first the said
James Gifford< no role >
for himself says That on Wednesday
the seventh instant he went to the House of
William Kimpton< no role >
now present who keeps the
sign of the Coopers Arms in Five Fool Lane
Southwark
at which time a Person was sitting
in the top Room dressed in a smoak Frock
That soon after said Kimpton came in and said
to said Person You have got some Sheep to sell
here is a Person, Meaning this Informant, as
likely to buy them as any body That this
Informant asked said Man what Sheep they
were when said Kimpton replied they were
Welch one or half bred ones such as were bred
"on Finchley Common
" That Kempton asked said
Man how many there were when said Man
replied Nineteen but he should sell but ten
of them That this Informant asked said Kimpton
and said Man (whom he has since been informed

) where he should see them
when said ("Mash replied at the Green Man
at Muzzle Hill
and they agreed to meet there
as the Friday following for that purpose
