The Examinations of James Wilson< no role >
charged with Stealing eleven pair of
Boot Legs and a quantity of Sole Leather
the Property of Robert Taylor< no role > taken
before me this 17th. day of September
1787

Who Says that he is a Journeyman Shoemaker and works
for Robert Taylor< no role > that about a Fortnight ago the said Robert
Taylor
< no role > gave him leave to sleep in his House with
his Apprentice for several Night during which time
he stole eleven Pair of Cordovan Boots Legs and a
quantity of Sole Leather And this Examinant further
Says that the nine pair of Boot Legs now produced and
found in his Sisters Lodgings are part of the Same
Boot Legs he Stole from said Robert Taylor< no role > and
that the Sole Leather now produced he also Stole
from saidRobert Taylor< no role > That he gave one pair of
Boot Legs and Some of the sole Leather to William
Hallier
< no role > now present and the other pair of Boot
Legs he out up to make a pair of Shoes to give his
Brother And this Examinant further Says that
said Hallier well knew that Said Leather was
the property of said Taylor
