The Information Alexander Davidson< no role > of the
Parish of Saint Olives in the County of Surry
Cyder Merchant Taken thisSecond fifth day of October in
the Year of our Lord one Thousand seven hundred and
Eighty seven before me John Staples< no role > Esquire one of his
Majestys Justices at the Peace in and for the said County
which said Alexander Davidson< no role > being duly Sworn
upon his Oath saith that about ten o Clock last monday Night
he went into a house in Cable street along with two
Womenone of where he believe to bethe Prisoner
Present who saith her name is Mary Randall< no role > was
in the said House further saith that he sent for
some Liquor and gave a Shilling to Change but doth
not know wether the Change was returned to him or
not that he agreed to go to bed with one of the Women
which Women is not present that when he went
to bed he had in his Breeches Pocket 13 Guineas
in a piece of brown paper and one ten pound banknote
that he put his breeches under his head and went
to Sleep that in a Short time afterwards his breeches
was taken away that some thing disturbed him and
he ran down Stairs but could not see any of them
and further saith that theverily believes thesaid Mary
Randall
< no role > was presentat thea Short time before he was Robed as aforesaid
and priv'y to the said Offence
