Jacob Worthy< no role > of Hanway Street in the County
of Middlesex Mercer maketh Oath and saith that
he has been Informed and believes a Summonse was
left at this Deponents house for him to attend at this
Honourable Court to serve as a Juror in the Month
of July last but at the time such Summonse was so
left of this Deponents house as aforesaid he was in
the County at Brighthemstone in the County of
Sussex and did not return till the Sessions
were concluded And this Deponent further saith
that the said Summonse did not come to this Deponents
hands or knowledge until after his return otherwise
he would willingly have Attended it.

Sworn at Justice Hall in the
Old Bailey the 25th. day of Octr. 1787 }
