taken upon Oath before me this 9th. day of
June 1787

Elizabeth Wilson< no role > for herself Saith that on friday night
last about half past ten this Informant Saw the Street
door and found it Safe at Six the Same Evening Saw the
Windows of the Drawing and Bed Room down, went up
Stairs about a Quarter before Eleven into the Drawing
Room and found the last over the Street door thrown up
and saw Something like a flap of a Mans Coat dress from the
said Window, from thence went into the Bed Room and saw
the bed Cloaths throwed up in heap together this Informant
Immediately went to the Window in the drawing Room and
Cryed Stop thief, and further Saith that a Black Silk Gown
and Coat and five pair of Shoes now Produced, which said
Gown and Coat this Informant folded up at Six o'Clock are
the Property of Miss Arabella Wilson< no role > this Informants Mistress

Mr. Ebenezer Whiting< no role > for himself Saith that on friday
night last about Eleven o'Clock this Informant saw
a Person coming out of a one pair of Stairs Window with
a White bag in his hand at No. 5 Crown Street , Strand ,
this Informant on Advancing as he Apprehends observed
by the Person on which he made a Jump from the lamp
Iron broke the Lamb and descended into the Street with
the said bag on which this Informant Immediately
Pursued him and he dropt the bag this Informant
Cryed Stop thief and saw a Watchman then at the
