The Information of John Dinmore< no role > taken
upon Oath before me William Blackborow< no role > Esqr . One
of His Majesty's Justices of the Peace in and for the
said County this 9th. day of March 1787 .

This Informant upon his Oath saith that on Tuesday last the
6th. day of March Inst. this Informant in Company with Edwd. Lavender< no role >
and [..] two others at about the hour of Four of the Clock in the Afternoon
went to the house No 13 Situate in Peter Street in the Parish of St. John
Clerkenwell in the said County having received Information that the Current
Copper Coin of this Realm was there Feloniously made & Counterfeited
That the said Edward Lavender< no role > knocked at the Door which after soome
little time was opened by the Prisoner Thomas Worlings< no role > this Informr.
immediately pushed by him and ran to the Stairs leading to the Cellar
This Informant then saw the Prisoners Mary Worlings< no role > and Thomas Harcourt< no role >
[..] Run from the Cellar into the Yard the other Prisoner Thos. Taylor< no role >
was taken by this Informant and the said Edward Lavender< no role > in the
Space between the Cellar and Yard the said Thos. Taylor was then
taken into the Yard by this Informant the said Edwd. Lavender< no role >
pursued the other two Prisoners who had concealed themselves in
the Privy and where this Informant saw them brought from by
the said Edward Lavender< no role > that the hands of the said Mary Worlings< no role >
were very dirty and black and her face Smutty and that the two Men
had no Coats on the said three Prisoners were then Secured by
the Assistance of the other two Officers namely Jonathan Redgrave< no role >
and William Brackney< no role > this Informanttheand the other Officers
then went into the Cellar [..] where they found a large Stamping
Press compleat and fixed with Quantity of Counterfeit Halfpence
Round the bottom part of the Press and two Candles burning and
likewise a quantity of Round Copper blanks imstamped This
Informant also saw the said Edward Lavender< no role > take from the
said Stamping Press two Dyes with feint Impressions for
Stamping of Copper with the Resemblance and Similitude of
the Coin of His late Majestys George the Second and that he
this Informant also saw between the said Dyes one False &
counterfeit Copper Half penny which the said Edwd Lavender
Secured in the presence of this Informant This Informant hath
since heard the said Thomas Taylor< no role > and Thomas Harcourt< no role >
Voluntarily confess and acknowledge that they did make and
Counterfeit the Half pence found as aforesaid but denied that the
said Thomas and Mary Workings were any way Concerned but
this Informt. Verily beleives and Suspects that the said Mary
Worlings
< no role > was Actually Concerned in Feloniously making & Conterfeiting
the said Copper Coin and that the said Thomas Worlings< no role > was
Privy and Consenting thereto for the Room were the said
Thomas Worlings< no role > was in is directly over the said Cellar were
