Informations of Witnesses taken at the Dwelling House of
Gaet Marmive< no role > the Sign of the Beehive
in the Parish of Saint Botolph Aldgate without in the County of Middlesex on
Monday the 24hDay of April1786 . Before Thomas
Phillips
< no role > Esquire one of his Majesty's Coroners for the said County touching
the Death of a Male Child unknown
then and there lying Dead as follow

William Pinkerton< no role > Son of Thomas Pinkerton< no role > Sexton of the
above Parish upon his Oath saith That on Saturday last
as he and his Father were going to put a pair of hinges
on one of the Gates belonging to the Burial Ground
of the said Parish as soon as he came within the
Ground he saw a small Coffin laying about three
Yards from the Great Gate in the Groundand on
upon which he took it up and carried into a Shed
in the Ground with out seeing what it contained
and immediately went and informed his Father
who afterwards went to the Ground with Mr. Ebenezer King< no role > assistant
to Mr. Rice Davis< no role > of Burr Street Surgeon in order
to examine what the said Coffin contained
