this 27th day of May 1786
Who being upon Oath say and first the said John Johnson< no role >
saith that this Evening between 4 and 5 o Clock he saw a Person
new present who calls himself Charles Thorn< no role >
borough go into his
Masters Warehouse where he had no Business that on his nuturn
out of said Warehouse he observed him to have something bulky
in his Pockets when he mentioned the circumstance to George
Sideway< no role >
his fellow Workmanthe said George Sideway< no role >
saith
that from the Information he felt the Prisoners Pockets upon his
coming out of the Warehouse and on finding something bulky
therein he took him down to the Accompting house and found in
his Pocket the two Papers of Nails now produced And the
said John Wilson< no role >
saith that he was present when the two Papers
of Nails were taken out of the Prisoners Pocket in the Counting house
and is very sure the two Papers of Nails now produced are the
property of himself and Partners and were Stolen in this Warehouse
