on the Prosecution of
Lazarus Woolfe< no role > for Perjury

Joseph Dermas< no role > the above named Defendant
(a Prisoner confirmed in his Majesty's Prison of the Fleet
maketh Oath and saith that the Indictment in this
Prosecution was puferred against this Deponent in
May Session 1785 and no proceedings have been had
thereon against this Deponent till the last Session
when this Deponent was obliged to plead then to and
under into Recognizance to Try his Traverse to the
said Indictment at this present Session and this
Deponent further saith that the prosecutor having
during ale the time aforesaid desisted further to prosecute
and conceiving he did not intend further to prosecute
the same, one James Haslett< no role > (who is a Material
Witness on the behalf of this Deponent in his Defence to
the said Prosecution as he is advised and verily believes
to be true) departed this Kingdom for Russia as
