of April 1786

Who being upon Oath that about half after three
o Clock last Wednesday afternoon she p [..] cised a person now
present who call himself John Conyers< no role > coming down
the Stairs from her Masters Sale in Grafton Street
Tottenham Court Road That suspecting him to have
Stolen something she particularly looked at him and
Perceived him to have something wrapped round his
bodythat she immediately called out for Assistance
andsaid Henry Croker< no role > now present pursued and
apprehended him and further saith that she doth verily behave
that the Curtain now produced is the Article which was
wrapped round said Conyers
