The Information of Perry Freeman< no role > of Goswell
Street in the Parish of Saint James Clerkenwell
Jeweller Taken the 1st: day of April 1786 .

Who upon his Oath Saith That in the Evening of the
24th. of January last about the hour of 10. o Clock he met with
one Sarah Jones< no role > in the Streets and went with her to a Lodging
Room belonging to a person now in Custody who says her
Name is Elizabeth Marchant< no role > in parker Street Saint
Giles in the fields That they had some Liquor together and
about the hour of Two o Clock in the Morning he undressed
himself and went into bed with the said Sarah Jones< no role >
at which time the said Elizabeth Marchant was sitting
by the fire side That he put his Breeches under his head
and a Silver Watch was in his Fob and he had not been in
bed above half an hour before the said Elizabeth Marchant
(he found) had Robbed him of his said Watchand also a pair
of Paste Knee Buckles which were in his Waistcoat
Packet upon the Bed
and left the Room and went for some Genesa
and Returned soon afterwards That he then falled the Watchman
and gave her in Charge of him who Took her to the Watchouse
That on the next day She was brought before Justice
Walker who Commited her with the said Sarah Jones< no role >
for a further Examination but the said Elizabeth
Marchant made her Escape as he is informed That
at the time his property was Stolen as aforesaid the said
Sarah Jones< no role > was in Bed with him.
