This Informant upon his Oath saith that on
Tuesday the 5th. day of September instant He apprehended
the Prisoner Edward Darby< no role >
for Stealing a Shirt at
which time the Prisoner had in his Custody the Black
Mare now Sworn to by James Pearson< no role >
the Prisoner
was taken before Justice Neate at Whetstone
and in the
course of his Examination he Confessed before and
in the presence of this Informant that he had Stolen
the said Mare from Weston Underwood
and that she
was the property of the said Mr. Pearson with whom
he had lately lived as Servant
