The Informations and Depositions Against John
Merryman

a Felony taken before us John Chaples< no role > and Samuel
Hawkins
< no role > Esquire two of His Majesty Justice of
the peace in and for the said County the 13th
day of September 1786 as follows vizt

William Newton< no role > of Hunt Street Mill End New
Town Victualler on his Oath saith That on Saturday
Morning last about one yard and one half of a yard [..]
Leaden pipe was Cut away from under
the Window Shutter of the Cellar of his dwelling House Situate [..]
aforesaidin Hunt Street aforesaid together
with a Brass Cock which pipe was Affixed
to his said Dwelling house That one part of the
Leaden pipe now produced by John Tame< no role >
is the property of this Informants and the
Same that was Cut away from the Cellar
of his Dwelling House as aforesaid
That the Prisoner now present [..] who says
his Name is John Merryman< no role > with five
others were at this Informants House at on
friday Even I last and went away at
half an hour after Eleven oClock the same Eveningin the Evening
