The Information of Thomas John Burnell< no role >
Taken the 25th. day of October 1786 .

Who upon his Oath Saith That between Two and
Three. Clock on Sunday Morning last as he was
coming down Wych Street he was accosted by a Woman
Who says her Name is Sophia Lewis< no role > and was induced
to go with her to he Lodging Room in parkers Lane
Saint Giles's in the Dwelling House of John Dell< no role >
where he gave her Two Shillings and they went to Bed
together That in or about a few Minutes afterwards
the said Sophia Lewis< no role > Complained That She had a
pain in her Bowells and She must have some Gin
She then got up and left him in Bed and Bland'd the
Candle out and immediately went and locked him
in the Room Where he Contained until about 5 and
6. oClock the same Morning When a Man Came into
the Room (who says his Name is William Cox< no role > ) and
said to this Informant you Bloody Bugger what you
do you do here and after some other Words passing
between them the said William Cox< no role > went away [..]
Returned in about a Quarter of an hour and made
use of the same sort of Expressions and with a large
Knife drawn said he would Cut his Bloody Bowels
out several times and immediately began to Abuse
Assault and Cut him with the Knife in several
places. That upon his this Informants getting
up and putting on his Cloaths he missee his Coat and said
he would not go out of the Room without his Coat
and then the said William Cox< no role > began again to Assault
him and Violently forced him of the room and
Endeavoured to Throw him over the Ballastrey of
the Stairs That before he was forced out of the
Room he Missed Two Guineas and an half in Gold
